Hokkaido Cupcakes

One of Hunny's loyal customer which now becomes friend once texted, "Bila nak buat Hokkaido Cupcakes pulak. Hehe.." As to appreciate her passion towards Hunny's cakes.. here the Hokkaido cupcakes, in Hunny's own way.

Chilled Durian Cheesecake

Hunny kind of obsesses with this fruit recently..
This is the 3rd recipe base on Hunny's love-ever durian.

Beautiful blend of cream cheese & durian perfectly nominates it as superlicious fruit-base-cake ever. He's a king of fruit kingdom anyway. hehehe..
bottom layer - crunchy digestive biscuit
heart layer - cream cheese & loads of durian flesh. The best part is the pure durian flesh being swirled in the middle of durian-cheese filling.

Indescribable Durian Cake

No long intro as it is indescribable..hehe

The heavenly bittersweet, bold-creamy taste of durian flesh & whipped cream synchronize well with the light spongy cake.

The slicing is somehow unattractive due to lots of durian fibres. It means loads of fresh durian flesh inside!! Hooyeah!!

It then finished with sharpy star shape (dedicate to its thorn, at least..hehehe) made of luscious lighty whipped cream.

It comes in 2 sizes

The lucky cuppies

What a relief.. at last Hunny got a chance to present this so called “the lucky cuppies” to the 100th Likee of HunnyBakesTheCakes facebook page, months of delay due to distance.
Anyway, congratulations to Ms Mija Sapiai & thousands of thanks for liked us. Hehehe..

Hunny bakes the breads

Hunny; be a Malaysian, loves rice more than others.. Plain white rice with sweet soy ketchup, omellete & some Japanese cucumber slices (the only veggie Hunny loves the most at this moment).

But somehow Hunny can't resist the fragrant sausage in a simple sweet bun, Hunny most favorite!!

This bread journey is solely for the satisfaction of Hunny's small family.
Just recently Hunny into continental croissant; either filled with chicken slice & mayonnaise (no green veggies for Hunny) or eat plain as it is. Another one is broadway kind of tortilla; folded with lettuce & mushroom chicken. Again, no lettuce for Hunny!! Hunny should learn  & bake it..hopefully. hehehe.

Rainbow Cake

Hunny always loves rainbow!! So does everybody else..
It just an exciting moment when able to spot such magical colours in the sky. It created smile..
Then Hunny will asking her mommy where’s it ends & the same question will be repeated again & again in every rainbow spotting. (Sighh!! Mommy so boring to repeat the same answer. Huhuhu)

First time baked this Rainbow Cake, Hunny asked her mommy about where’s the other 2 colors. Hahaha..
 The main reason, with this small size (round 7”), Hunny to sacrifice the other 2 colors to make the cake perfectly balance (at least not too towering high).
Here the riddle: What colors were missing?
(Opss sorry, no free cake for the correct answer. haha.)

The scrumptious soft buttery cakes were individually baked, layered & decorated with fresh cream or cream cheese frosting. The best part is every layer has each it own flavor.
violet for creamy yam.
blue for sweet blueberry.
green for zappy apple.
yellow for citrus lemonade.
red for juicy strawberry..
a perfectly rainbow in every bite.

This very eye-catching cake is highly recommended for birthday party or any special occasion.

Giant Dark Chocolate Moist Cupcake

Looking for a cake which different from other cake house??
How about a cupcake but in jumbo size??

Cake inside - dark chocolate moist cake.
Wall decoration - delicious fresh cream.

Nutty paradise in Almond Nougatine Cheesecake

Are you going nuts?? Please don't until you try the nutty paradise in..

ALMOND NOUGATINE CHEESECAKE
Base layer - crunchy high fibre digestive biscuit
Heart layer - loads of chopped roasted almond nougatine perfectly mixed with cream cheese, milk, spoonful of authentic bittersweet honey & tangling lemon juice. It kind of heavenlicious blend everybody will loving it. The almond nut is so abundant.. every single bite is almond-bite!! It is absolutely almond paradise!!
Topping - baked sour cream. It just perfect to end the nutty taste.

What is Nougatine Hunny?? Hunny would like to say it is a very simple crunchy confectionery made with sugar or honey & any favourable nuts. As for this recipe, it just blend of caramelized sugar & roasted almond nut. Almond can be replaced with Hazelnut or Macademia nut or can be mixed of any nut you like. Everybody can do it at home..

But again, Hunny offers you convenience..

Hunny's Sports Day

This is a special entry about Hunny's Sports Day which being held on 15.07.12 at SK Puncak Alam 2. Parents were most welcome to sponsor any kind of food & beverage to merry the event.

As for Hunny.. 2 boxes of cuppies to share among friends & parents.

Introduce Hunny Bakes the Cakes logo

Introduce.. official logo of Hunny Bakes the Cakes.
Thanks to Western Design Studio for beautifully made this into reality.
Hunny has a curly hair & a pair of big eyes..
5 candles represent the business started when Hunny is 5 years old.

The original idea about this logo popped out from mommy's head about last month.
A true story..from a true baker..
(hahaha.. stupid intro anyway)
Once upon a time, the mommy which worked full time as a cosmetics chemist attended a full day seminar presented by Schulke & Mayr. It was an interesting seminar indeed; talked about modern preservation in personal care product & hygienic issue in manufacturing plant bla bla. There was a segment (an after buffet lunch segment).. Mommy's eyelids started to close & the mind was busy handling "how to let the eyes wide open". That time, even with a synergetic blend of the excellent topic & excellent presenter, it just cannot fight the typical human body clock function - sleepy after a heavy lunch. Blame the buffet lunch!!hehehe..

To maintain the professional look kind of i-am-so-focus-into-your-speech-which-super-interesting-and-a-true-loss-if-i-missed-it..hehehe.. mommy chose to write something like to jot down the keypoint of speech. hehehe.. in fact, mommy just scribble idly..flower, then a house, then the kids, then the cakes.. To her suprise, it turned out to be quite a good idea to use some of the ugly arts convert into a logo.

Durian galore in Hunny's Baked Durian Cheesecake

Durian Lover, now is your turn!!
A true show-off by the King of Fruitland.. the latest recipe from Hunny's kitchen..
BAKED DURIAN CHEESECAKE

To make this cake, Hunny had to sacrifice the other cake baking.. why?? the fridge was so full with durian pungent smell. Luckily with a few slices of sandwich bread, Hunny succeed to neutralize the fridge odor.
But it's a worth cake to taste!!

Base layer - individually baked vanilla sponge sheet.
Heart layer - Fresh durian flesh blend together with cream cheese. It kind of smell fiest.. It so durian and it so cheezy!! Heavenlicious..
Topping - Durian jelly. Durian jelly?? What a weirdo.. Believe Hunny, this durian jelly is so perfect finishing to end the heavy kind of creamy durian & cream cheese.

Warning: The durian smell is so strong, it might be described as air pollution for those durian hater.
Oppss!! Hunny is burping.. with durian smell. Yuck!! hahaha..

Makcik Sah's original Yam Layer Cake a.k.a Kek Keladi

At last.. A signature cake from Hunny's auntie, far far away from Hunny's Happyland aka Hunny's birthtown. hehehe..
Thank you very much to Mak Cik Sah or Hunny always called her as Ummi for sharing such a beautiful cake.

The sponge lining cakes were individually baked, layered with delicious yam paste and topped with fragrant desiccated coconut. Ohh.. by eating this cake, it reminds the old Happyland kampung.

This is the raw yam. Hunny, be careful with the juice..it's itchy!!

This is the braised yam. Inside every cake contains half kilo of braised yam!!
 Two sizes available:

Large Plate (Square 10") - RM50/cake (weight 2kg)
Suit for big family & gathering.

2 x round 7"

2 x square 7"

Just nice for small family..
Personal Plate (Round 7" or square 7") - RM30/cake (weight 1kg).
